replacement to coordinate or triangulation design techniques in Computer Aided Design, Point Cloud Modeling (PCM) has become
the norm. This is because Point Cloud Models are exponentially greater in detail, especially in terms of surface texture,
contours, three-dimensional shapes and most importantly, the ability to map point cloud model objects into 3D space, such
as, machinery, piping or installed conditions in a plant or for documentation of existing building construction for example.
